I just drove a 2006 E55 for the first time. I couldn't stop smiling. Wow, that car goes. When it's not spinning its tires.

 

Welcome to the club. You think the wheels be spinning now wait till you put some real power to them.

 

Well, I haven't bought it yet. I was initially just looking for an older cheaper car and then saw this one at the dealer I was at. It's in good shape but has a lot of miles on it, although half the miles appear to be primarily highway miles. It has a powertrain warranty but I don't think that covers the main things that go wrong with these cars. A CLK55 would probably be a more prudent purchase, but ....
