Belt Wrap Kit SALE
Finally that weird grinding/hissing noise from the engine front is gone.
Gosh i hate it when Mercedes engines do make any kind of weird noises, so were the old pulley bearing noises and still IS the ugly ticking oilpump-chain which all M113Ks are having issues with.
Anyway, back to the belt-wrap kit. Honestly i just love machined parts...That surface when a milling tool passed by is just great. I work for a company where we have like 25 HSC and CNC machines, i have an "eye" for machined parts and the parts just look of a good quality - especially the pulleys.
Installation was straight forward with the included manual. I did it on the CL55 without removing the fan shroud and i slit my forearms and hands lol, because of the serpentine tensioner and the pulley down there - but its possible. I Replaced the serpentine belt while i was on it.
I think its a great product, however i have the issue that the provided belt by Shardul is to short. I have stock crank and stock SC pulley installed, still it was impossible to get the Gates K080530 belt to work with it. It misses just some 10 millimeters i think. Shardul any advice what length do i need?
So i can't yet use the belt-wrap function.
The cool thing is however, even if the belt-wrap kit is installed, you can still go the route and just don't use it. Just use a stock belt and avoid that new additional pulley of the BWK.
I will report back once i get hold of a fitting belt.
Will the K080530 be OK with the 77MM pulley when i finally use it (depending on tune issues)?
K080540 does not exist by gates, however by Contitech by size in mm, which is 1371mm (link)
However there is a Gates Belt 8PK1365, which is 53.74 inches long, its used by SMART cars with Part Number "A9069933996".

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Slippage drastically decreased and the boost is much more consistent.
This product is a must for stock cars, let alone pulley'd monsters. This is one of the first upgrades any M113K owner should do.
Thank you, shardul.
Thanks Shardul.
