Is the p030 perf. pkg onl for e63?
I just recently found out about this package and can't really find much info on it. Was this an option only on e63 models?

And only for the sedan - not the wagon (grrrr...).
To be honest though, I think the only really compelling thing in the package is the lsd. I have no idea how the suspension differs between the P30 and the regular stock AMG suspension. The other bits are pretty much cosmetic.

I do know that the following cars were offered with P030 Package. I myself owned a 2008 E63 with the P030 package and there was a noticable difference.

1. Limited Slip Locking Diff
2. 2 Piece Wheels
3. Alcantra/Leather Steering Wheel
4. Increased Speed Limiter

I don't think #6 was part of the E63 P030 in the US, at least...and I have no idea on #7.

Well. It depends. Europe market had a P030 package for the E55 but it´s rare as hens teeth.
I have one and it´s equipped with LSD, alcantara steering wheel, speed limit 300km/h, roll valve that cuts the fuel and power.

The factory LSD isn't as good as an aftermarket one and aftermarket ones aren't expensive.
Delimited higher speed isn't completely delimited. You can easily tune and delimit it yourself and it will be totally unlimited (only by engine power of course
)Stiffer Airmatic might be nice but I haven't driven one so I don't know how different it is.
If the actual control arm, suspension setup is different then yes it would be worth it as would bigger brakes.

There's also a difference in the rear end gearing on these. I don't remember which ones are which, but some are 2.82 and some are 3.06. If you plan on swapping one of these out into your non-P030 equipped car (2.6-something on the E55), you will need the TCU to be updated.

Difference in rear gear ratio is between different models (E55 is 2.65, E63 & Sl55 are 2.82, Sl63 is 3.06, etc.)
