Fixed Supercharger Pulley - Problems Survey
After recent mixed reports of (partially severe) issues with the FSP and the tunes offered by a few companies, i decided to do a community poll/survey so we all get a better picture about the situation. Also maybe we can summarize whats missing in the tune and direct it to some tuners. Hopefully the well known community ones, can chime in here and offer their view on the subject.
If you have only one very very minor issue, like something that is almost unnoticeable for the typical user, i'd say you qualify for the "No issue whatsoever option".
For instance i would name the "2000RPM glitch**" here, which was solved by the latest box tune by Eurocharged to about 95% (see post here!)
I also only specifically named the two most community known vendors for the tune in the poll options, because they are the only ones i heard about by the community to offer a tune for the FSP. If you use a different tuner please comment below.
** The "2000 RPM glitch" is an issue where the ECU wants to cut timing, as it is expecting an engaging Supercharger clutch. That glitch was described by some FSP users as a significant drop in power at around that listed RPM.
Personal remark (please do still vote even if you disagree):
After all, a company named "Kleemann" did its own Supercharger kit before AMG came up with theirs and Kleemann's tune had no issues even though their system also used no clutch for the SC. So i believe it could be possibly doable with the BOSCH Motronic ECU.
Personally i find the clutchless SC Pulley one of the best platform tuning inventions EVER.
To bad it still does not work right which is a HUGE SHAME IMHO

I voted no issues with a box tune from Eurocharged. I am the poster linked in the OP about having the 2000 RPM glitch 95% fixed. I have around 2000 miles of daily driving on it now and I am happy to report still no issues. Maybe I just learned how to drive around the 2000RPM glitch or just got used to it but I would say its even closer to being completely gone now after driving on it for a while.

Reviving this thread.....
I've been doing lots of reading on the FSP. Originally I was told by EC not to go with fixed, due to drivability issues. This sort of didn't make sense to me, as I thought clutchless would allow for smoother engagement, etc....
My motor is all stock with the exception of EuroCharged tune. EC does free re-tunes. So what I'm wondering is... if I install FSP at EC, then they flash my car with the proper tune.. will I be good to go? Or will I experience issues??

I would also like to know since I just bought my pulley last week from euro. and was told they still have a glitch. I would prefer clutchless as all my previous American muscle cars all ran that way and never had issues.

Yes the glitch is still present but from working with Jerry it's very small compared to how it was and is easy to drive around it so it will not be noticed much at all.

I had a glitch on my 2011 G55 tune and E55 where it was just hold max rpm at full throttle. It would just get stuck then kick into the next gear after a second. Never had the 2k rpm glitch on either cars that i noticed.
