You need to clean those calipers

20's would have been better...
Other than that, your car looks great...put on the HRE center caps please! The MB center caps make the rims look generic/cheap/ala replica rims.

20's are too big. The HRE centercaps no longer fit as the center has been bored larger to fit the MB caps. I do have plain caps and HRE emblems to put on, but I don't feel like taking the rims off again to mount them.

Sorry I didn't clean the calipers adequately for you, Pocholin, but they were spotless a few days earlier.

Beautiful car and wheels Dr Chill! Did HRE bore out the center for the MB caps to fit or the place you bought em?

Centers were bored by HRE. I believe they charge $250 extra for 4 wheels.

I like the wheels, I like the grill and I like the color. You've put together a very distinctive E55, Dr. Chill. I bet your wife can't wait till you get that Vette. LOL

Dr. Chill:

Great look with the wheels by the way.

Did you consider doing a 10 inch wheel in the back to put a 275 or 285 tire for more traction? Also you mentioned you lowered your car slightly- what parts or mods did you use to do this?

I should be getting my E55 soon and will want to drop it slightly as well. I test drove a white one yesterday with a whopping sticker over 90k- Incredible ride for sure- when standing still the rear height was good but I wanted the front to sit a little lower if possible.

I love the grill and spoiler. Wheels look great too. Does the wheels make a big difference in traction when you launch off the line?

Great Look all way round. Very nice.

Hey Vic55 what was your impression of a white E55? I have not seen a white W211 on the streets yet, but I have seen a few white W210's, and they looked great.

Bones, that white was hot IMO. Add some BBS LM's and I would be done. I know silver and black is everyone's first or second choices but white is rare and with a small drop and some 19's the car would standout. Too bad this car had every single option on it and the dealer wouldnt budge on my trade-in value of my M5 or I would have forgone my black ordered unit and took that beast instead.

I hear you on the white, very unique and appealing. Did it have the standard black interior or a two tone color combo? Enjoy your black E55( my first color choice) when it arrives, and post some pics when you drop it a tad.

Take care

It was all black on the inside- normally one does not find a black interior on a white car (at least from my experiences in California). When I worked for Lexus I got a GS400 every year and would take one out of dealer allocation. I could not find one car allocated to a Lexus dealer in Cali with white exterior and black interior. The only way was to custom order the car and wait the extended period.

I don't care for 19s unless on certain new cars BUT those are FORGED HRE wheels; very, very high quality.
