E55 vs. S65 - The Beast & The Land Yacht
My buddy picked-up a super clean '08 S65 AMG with RENNtech tune & airbox which should net around 670hp/840lb+. We decided to do a quick run (2nd gear pulls from 40mph to ~115mph).
I let him take the hit and the E55 pulled the entire time...1st time I've heard my supercharger whine We both let off when the E55 was 1 car in front.

I assure you he was on the gas. There is a sign on the median when the road straightens out we run from, he jumped it a bit. A fellow Viper owner who decided like me to add an AMG car to the stable.
We are little fish compared to the TX2K15 roll races going on now...but still fun!

ECU tuned SL/CL 65 will hit 10s all day, but an S ehhh, High 10 maybe once in awhile, but not constantly like the other 2, the weight of the S keeps the car bogged down, but it will do 11s all day not trying at all. It's still impressive for the size and weight of the car. Once the car is moving the car just hauls on a roll

5200 lbs (including driver)/670hp=7.76
There's no surprise who wins in the video. Hell he even said he let the S65 get the jump.

Some guy where I lived had one, every time he saw me he would step on it. I got tired one day and told him try it. It had a renntech tune and some sort of exhaust work he told me. Well, let's say it wasn't even a match so I highly doubt it runs 10's... This was when I had my Ctsv lol

I knew it would be close and honestly though he may pull me. All the reason to go out and find out.
I've been thinking about doing the WannaGoFast 1/2 mile in May. Both would make the "heavyweight" class and simply another reason to go have some fun.

God the W221 is beautiful though. Especially when facelifted. Perfect interior and exterior, ay better than the new W222 which looks like an alien spaceship inside, terrible interior, not traditional, looks cold and clinical whereas the W221 has a very luxurious and cosy interior with a pretty much perfect design. I guess the outside of the W222 isn't too bad....actually it's gorgeous It's only the inside that's turd. The W221 is timeless though, it really is the best S class ever made. It's a boat though, it weighs twice what a 747 weighs

Also, you forget top compare s/c vs. turbo. Turbos should pull harder at speed.

If the 65 is tuned indeed, check to see if his intercooler pump is dead or if there's Air in the IC system. They're hard to bleed without the proper MB tool. Then watch his taillights get smaller and smaller next time you do a roll on race!

At the crank? Why not? He has a supercharger pulley, could be a very small one, he has a tune, he has split cooling. Why couldn't he be making around 480whp?
