Good dude or not, it takes 5 seconds to respond to this thread or his texts. The guy has been waiting months for his part, he is not out of line to expect to hear from the guy.

I don't know either of you but seems like enough time, 2 months should be enough.
As for defending Sir, if the name wasn't posted but OP had just stated the facts about his experience I kind of feel the reaction from most on here would be diff. That's ok as we wanna stand up for our friends and family. But would be good for others to put pressure on Sir if they speak to him to reply direct to him. No need to post to the board, just the OP. OP can then state all is resolved.
Also doesn't matter when his last visit to the site was. The OP has direct contact and showed he has tried to get a reply to no avail. So "wait for him to see the post" seems absurd. He knows the OP is waiting for a reply without the forum.

I do stuff like this because I love cars and it's fun to be part of people's projects that they're also as enthusiastic about as I am about mine. I've been through hell in life to say the least but also am very very blessed to have been able to carve out a little corner of the world in which car stuff is able to remain fun, since when car stuff becomes a profession it ceases to be enjoyable and becomes just another job. A job which pays less than most and takes more of a toll on your health/body.
So calling yourself a "customer" and demanding things like you're talking to the customer service hotline over a bad batch of onion rings you got at Hardee's isn't quite applicable IMO.
Yeah I'm not free but I charge about what a Hardee's cook gets when you realize how much time I spend on one-off parts. If I was working at a shop, theyd go broke..but thats the benefit of being able to do stuff for fun. The $$/hr ratio isnt important. So when it turns from fun to aggravating Im not really interested. When you started hitting me up every day for updates I got annoyed and ghosted on you. Not the right thing to do I agree 100 but I'm human and imperfect and at that point just want to not hear from you anymore just put the part in your hand when it's done.
When would that be? Can't say, and I really really hate flakey people so I hate myself when I say -tomorrow- and then tomorrow can't happen, ya know? I know that's not perfect answer either but it is what it is. Fact of the matter is that most people in this business are f---in hacks with egos that dwarf their skillset so its usually worth the wait to deal with guys who know their s--- and leave the "gotta have it , gotta have it" guys to do business with the *******.
Not suggesting by any means that you were impatient. When you first asked me to do the part back in December I had tons of free time. When I got the core in Febuary it landed just in time for some life events that would rattle the most stable of psyches. Bro getting married with the requisite bachelor party ,and momma moving , and newborn son coming into the world, with accompanying instability in my lady ..its all 100 true and put all my fun projects on simmer. For this I apologize.
So of yould have just chilled out I'd have put the part in your hands as soon as I could, and all those blowers should come with that part, it's probably worth 100hp give or take with the blower set to kill. Going on the forum and suggesting that I'm a thief is really upsetting to me because I'm one of the people out there who will screw myself over before anybody else. Yeah, you can end up with way more stuff in life by behaving selfishly but I put very little value in material things and paramount concern towards character. "if I sold your inlet we can work out a repayment plan"?!?! Go **** yourself. I told you way back when that I could just do one of my spare elbows and then you could switch it out, I have a whole spare Weistec blower kit here that I never put on my other car, and could just switch that elbow out.
So I refunded you the deposit (that I told you not to send until I finished) and sent overnight (at $90 my expense) you back a stock elbow so you can find somebody else to hack on.
Here's yours on the right along with some spares I have. I was waiting for time to run out to my friends shop I use for fab work and build up some more weld in the bolts area before prettying up the exterior.
You can show this to whoever you get to build you one. It's got to be cut in half and opened up like a clamshell , then built up with TIG weld, then the entire thing ground smooth inside and ported with mandrels like a giant cylinder head intake port, otherwise the elbow is a big ottleneck regardless of how big a plate you put on the front.
Here's a stock one I overnighted back to you earlier. This one is 82mm unlike the 74mm you sent me, so it will be less work for whoever hack on it for you.. No charge
Here's the ups man taking it away in the same box you sent to me in. Best of luck and peace be with you.. Both with your car and in life

S-B-A: First, thank you for responding. I think I have been very fair, patient and reasonable. I think you would agree. If you needed more time, all you had to do was just tell me, just like those times before. Each and every time before, I responded that I understood. If you needed more time this time, all you had to do was just tell me. I would have again understood. But, when you all of sudden not respond to my text, not pick up when I call, not call me back and to do so repeatedly over days...what am I suppose think? When others ask you to respond back to me and you do not. What am I suppose think? You and I have not had business with each other before and this is a first for us. That means actions speak louder then words. There is no doubt you have mad skills, which is why we are doing business. If you do not think of me as customer, I understand. But, if you do it for money, then I feel I am a customer.
If now you tell me that you are overnighting to me what I paid for, then when I get it our business is over and we never have to deal with each other again. At the very least, I will say thank you for finally responding. Thank you.

Chris can be hard to get in contact with sometimes (he has alot on his plate right now) but in the end he has come through for me. The inlet he did for me looks like it should have came with the kit!
Umm he wants it to be functional not just bolt the tb to the inlet. You have to do alot of work to match the sc inlet to the TB size. Just bolting it on doesn't gain you anything when the sc inlet is smaller. That's probably why you didn't see much results on yours

Just my input since this is a public forum, take it with a grain of salt, but when you take money for a service no matter how good or bad, it should become business and not personal. Meaning, all your problems you keep to yourself. I kinda get OP's frustration... even tho those constant messages were annoying, he has the right to ask where he stands, seeing each deadline was passed and then some. Pulling the disappearing act because you were annoyed with him constantly asking where his piece was after each deadline only added to this mess. I think the lack of communication is why we are all reading this thread in the first place. That being said. Sir congrats on the baby, I know you have way bigger things on your mind then an inlet, and by the looks of it I'm sure your reputation here hasn't been branded.

While that is true, I personally never want $$ from anybody until I do whatever it is they want me to do. That way I never owe anybody anything. So many folks in the performance business get caught up in the trap of using deposits from one person to finish the last persons project, or pay last months bills.. I learned from watching and thankfully never got stuck in that kind of mess.

You may have given him weeks on text (which isn't necessarily true with the ridiculous frequency of your status requests), but this thread was only up for a day and a half... in which at no point had he signed on to see it. I would've ignored you too.
I will remember. I'll remember to never do business with jcjmw unless I can devote 100% of my time to him and only him until that transaction is completed. So basically, NEVER do business with him.
I think it all went over his head.
I'm surrounded by friends who have failed and friends who have been successful in automotive related businesses. This statement and the other post above about how you don't want it to become a burden because it's a hobby for you, makes me want to work with you in the future. Keep on keeping on buddy.

Rockthemullet: If you do not want to do business with me, then dont. I have been on this forum a long time and I have seen people come and go. I have sold, bought and gave away parts and etc. with numerous people on this forum. They know I am man of my word. Those who have done business with me (on and off this forum) know that I am fair and reasonable. If you do not believe my texts show that, then we can agree to disagree. I got my $300 back. We are 1/2 way there. When I get my weistec back, this matter will be over. But, if you have something personal to say to me, you can PM or you can call me. Others on this forum have my number. Call me.

Out Of Control!!
You bolted an adapter to the 82mm inlet and bolted a 90mm TB to it? You didn't open up the sc inlet to 90mm? I'm not doubting the car was "functional" as in it ran but that's not optimal
