So far it's been a dream to own. I did a full blown baseline on all fluids and filters including diff and tranny service. Because of the facts that I drive it on the weekend mainly, and I drive my 95' 300D to work all week (100 miles round trip), this car continues to feel stupid fast. I may just do the Quaife (or Wavetrac) LSD and leave the other mods out for now.

I've managed to get a top end run in it once and it does as advertised. So far it's been the biggest bang for the buck deal I've ever bought.

Oh, and when they were replacing the valve cover gaskets, my mechanic sent me a pic and his amazement of how clean the engine is inside. I'll post that pic.

WOW. That was an awesome deal, I thought I got a steal on my CLS63 Designo with only 36K miles on it, price was around $40K.

Looks clean inside and out, enjoy it and congrats. Mods list?

Cool, I am stock on my 63 as well, its an 09. Only thing I am have done is the Affalterbach logo replacement, clear side lenses, and a Wald Black Bison bumper and rear are in the works.

I drove it to dinner tonight and I just can't justify doing anything more to it. I think when the airmatic goes I'm going to swap to coilovers.

SOLD 04 E55 Now 93 w124 3.2 sold W210 E55 sold waiting on W211 E63 p030
Sad to say.... It's going to be cheaper next year. 2012 w212 are now selling for less than 60k. That's half of the sticker price in 3 years. 270win.... Leave it stock. One thing I will advise is to make sure the sub frame bolts are replaced... especially if you floor it from light to light.

Did you offer 10k contingent on the PPI, or was the offer made after the PPI was done? I'm curious because I found one similar to yours in my area.

I'd like to use the same tactics you did. Also, this car was hit from behind at some point, but other than that it looks clean, 2 owner and always serviced at the dealer who's now selling the car. KBB retail is $13.1k, trade in $8.4k

Well yeah, they'll get cheaper, but for $9900 there's nothing even close to it. So far I've not gotten used to the power so it's still exciting to get on it from time to time.

Yes, the deal was contingent on a PPI. I offered $10k contingent on the mechanic telling me what it needs. When I went back I told them it looked to be a real nightmare for whoever bouget it. I offered less, I think $9k but all they could do was another $100 so we landed on $9900 drive out. A few things to keep in mind. Mine was at a Dodge dealer and one of their mechanics apparently told them it needed lots of work. No idea why but that's what they told me. They didn't have a lot of interest generated on their lot. I went there not caring at all about whether they would do it or not. I walked out twice before they got serious about selling it. And they had it selling on their lot for about 45 days...40 of which they had it listed for $18,995.
