Added C63,mufflers, has anyone added back aftermarket resonators
I was running Kleemann long tubes, primary cats delete, secondary cats delete, resonator delete and added X pipe with E55 mufflers. The sound was too raspy and not deep enough note wise. Last week I switched to C63 mufflers . It has a good sound but it IS loud. Probably more than I'm wanting to listen to on a daily basis. So, my question is has anyone else got to this point and then added in a couple of aftermarket resonators ?(like maybe racing bullet resonators). If so what brand did you go with and how do you rate the results? I'm not trying to get it all that quiet, just tone it down a little. Looking for anyone that's been in the same predicament rather than me guessing what to put on it . I'm trying to avoid the trial and error route as much as possible if I can. Thanks in advance for any advise from members that have basically been at the same point I am at now and have come up with a solution.

Wait for Denroll to chime in. I believe he is running a c63 resonator.
He made a few vids of his exhaust at different stages

I put my stock resonator back on after I removed my cats to quite drone inside the car.

Switch to CLS63 mufflers. Not as intense as the C63's with just the right amount of sound and burble. I like the popping, but not all the time.

I did indeed add a C63 resonator. Just like you mentioned, I found it to be too raspy with an X-pipe and res delete. The C63 resonator took that harsh edge off and added some bass. I need to do a better vid one of these days, but here's what I have for you now:

I've had my c63 ever since I bought my car, one of the first guys to do it actually. I think it sounds amazing and insane. yes on WOT it gets wild lol but when I am cruising its like a regular AMG with no drone, not loud or anything, just a nice growl to it. I have C63/Klemman headers, 3" from header back, X-pipe/ NO resonators and no Cats front or back.
the sound is one of a kind that's for sure

That's what I was considering doing. They have several different ones but it looks like round ones vary in diameter(of course)!and are either 12 or 18 inches long. Do you recall which ones you bought? I'm going to look for one off of a C63 but it would be good to know which ones worked out for you just incase I end up going that route.

I want to do headers but this is the exact issue I'll be running into. If I do I will likely add a resonator back in. Was perfect with only resonator delete and c63's. The cat deletes make it a bit raspy...

Now that I think of it - there are mods on our E400 Wagon. Windows come tinted right from the dealer so I am not counting that. Having said that, the first thing that I had the dealer do is to put on clear 3M wrap on the front bumper, mirrors and portion of the hood. Remove all decals from the back of the car, so it does not show either E400 or 4Matic. Added a stainless steel rear bumper guard, and a small hanging tray in the centre arm rest to hold the phone, change and all the other junk I need. The centre console then becomes a two tiered storage with things I need on top and things I forget I have on the bottom. And last but not least for a good measure a sticker of a Swedish moose on the rear tow bar cover, because if you know you know and if you don't then people ask.
