E55 Custom Interior Options
Hey guys, I love the setup on most new cars these days where the navigation screen is at the top of the dash. I've even heard of an aftermarket flip-up screen being installed on top of the dash on a different make and model car. Just curious if there is such a thing as aftermarket options for a custom dash for E55's and if so, does anyone have any pics or links?

Personally, if I were integrating Apple products, I would use Airplay via Airport Express adapted for car use and then toslink/optical to Processor/Amp with optical inputs (Audison Bit 1 etc). There is definitely sound quality degradation with Bluetooth (at least on everything I have used). If integrating Android or others then Bluetooth would be the easiest.

why not put an appradio 4 with carplay from pioneer in using a metra dash kit that puts it where the factory one is? If you're putting something on top what are you going to put where the factory unit is?

I think OP wants to know if there are options to put the head unit up higher in the dash like newer cars. I have pondered that question myself. There would have to be some custom fiberglass work and there would have to be button relocation for the HVAC.
