05 AMG
I'm a new member here but not new to Mercedes. I recently sold my Gen 3 Viper and am looking for something cheap and fun to daily. I found a 04 cl55 for 12k with 111k miles that I'm interested in and a 05 e55 with 129k miles. I am leaning towards the e55 more as it is more of a commuting car. However I am a bit worried about the miles mainly because I plan on getting a pully and a tune for it. As I mentioned before I am not new to Mercedes however I am new to the AMg world. My father currently owns an 09 s550 which he's had for years now. Their daily beater car is an e500 with 148k miles and still running strong. My 1st car was an e500 with 120k miles also. So I know 100k+ miles is reliable for Mercedes. I just don't know how reliable 100k+ miles on a tuned e55 AMg would be. I have done plenty of research on those cars but all the information on threads is from 2013 and earlier where high mileage AMGs are negligible. Is it safe to put a pully and tune on an 05 E55 with 129k miles? The car is very clean and sitting at my local MB dealer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My E55 just hit 115k. Recent new AC compressor and alternator, usual stuff on any car, and the front air shocks have both been replaced.
Headers, supercharger pulley, tune, no problems.
