2004 e55 steering wheel
Hi all I have been looking on this forum of and on a few years, could anyone answer this question as anyone produced a off the shelf steering wheel with aluminium gear change paddles like the e63's. I know people have created such things but did they have full testing and made them available for sale. CHEERS

in 2004 were 2 different steering wheels in use:
--> MY2004: Old! You can identify on the black contact spiral of steering wheel column an shift buttons have only 2 wires to the multifuncion switches
MY2005 -->: New! You can identify on the transparent contact spiral of steering wheel column an shift buttons have 3 wires to the multifuncion switches.
Old: you need the R171 shift paddles and a paddle shift converter
New: you need the R171 shift paddles and you can plug them P&P into the multifunction switches.
