Change rear subframe bushes, hard to do???
Hello,
my rear subframe bushes (front of the rear axle) are dead.
My mechanical skills are good, but i want to know how difficult it is, to change this bushed.
Anyone done this before?
So a lift and good tools are no problem...
My car has the airmatic suspension and i don´t know exacly what i need to remove to loose the rear axle that i can change the bushes.
I hope someone can give ma good tips.

If it's the same as the CLK and you are talking about the bushings that go between the frame and the body the whole subframe does not need to come off. You unbolt the front 2 and tilt the subframe down, use a special tool (or air hammer) to extract the old bushings and press new ones in. I never had to do it on my E55 so it may be different
