I was informed by the dealership today that all 4 rims are bent and the vehicle cannot be aligned or balanced.

I have the stock chrome rims and when I bought the car I did notice that they had been welded previously, but didn't think it would cause the vehicle to be unable to be aligned.


Anyway the question is are they worth getting repaired or should I get some aftermarket AMG rims?

If they are all bent I don't think its worth fixing them, I would just find a cheap used set on Craigslist.

not worth fixing. used stock e55 wheels are really cheap. or you can upgrade to oem e63 wheels.

With our big *** cars and aggressive stock alignment we go through rims

I just have two reps I like a lot so I just keep a spare of each....lol.
Decent rims can be had for less than $200 /ea new for 19's, 18 would be even cheaper.
Tire Rack has some stuff on close out.

Op. Go through your insurance and see if they will cover the rims and get a new set.

That's what I do, I have a staggered set so I have one of each front and back. If one bends, I switch and have the broken one repaired/refinished. New is 230 each and repair is 125

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll keep my eyes open for some new wheels!

I'll probably keep the stock wheels for spares.
