adding ventilated seats
How hard would it be to add ventallated seats to a car that originally didn't have them? Looking at a car that doesn't have this feature and it's something I'd like. Thanks for the help

Probably not hard, but definitely costly.
Plus the OEM ventilated seats do not do much. Almost worthless without a fan upgrade.
You could probably fab your own installing big fans in your current seats. I'd just put a switch/button near the controls for the lumbar/bolster.
Maybe even tap into the AC vent under the seat to funnel in some true cooling

- New seats
- New seat heating control unit
- New upper control panel
- additional wiring
if you want to retrofit seat parts instead of hole seats, you need:
- ventilators,
- wiring
- rear seat covers
- seat foams

I have ventilated seats from E63 and the switch panel with the buttons in the car already. The buttons light up blue but no ventilation. Everyhting plugged in the bottom of the seats. Not sure if there is just coding involved for me at this point or If I need an extra wiring harness?
anyone know?

No, that is what I was wondering, Is it a coding or do I need additional hardware?
