Question for German speaking members?
Several weeks ago a thread got me thinking about personalized license plates for my E55. One in particular that I liked was in German. Before I put it on the back of my car, I'd like to be sure my wording and grammar is correct. The suggested plate I liked was...
UBER 55
Now, I know there should be accent marks over the U, but my question is... What is the actual translation of UBER.
I've always thought it was..."super" or "ultimate"
Any members out there."sprechen se Deutch?"

Without the accent marks over the U that you mention "uber" is an English language knock-off or slang for the German word über, ueber, or oeber, which means above or over in German.
In colloquial English speech, "uber" means super, fantastic, ultra or above reproach.
Seems to be a perfect choice for your plate
