Split Cooling Tank

WHats up guys, not looking for how to's.....wanting to know that is the largest tank I can fit in the engine bay of a S55? I want to split my system finally, but want to know the biggest tank I can fit. So far the BMW PS reservoir is 1 qt, but would like to get more if I can.

Thanks

Several guys here have went with an underhood tank that fits in place where the cabin air filter went. You should fact-check this, but I think it's 1.5 gallons.
I am unfamiliar with the underhood layout of the S55.

The windshield wiper fluid tank is fairly large. Was thinking about having it dipped to tolerate the temps and using the bmw tank for washer fluid.

Yeah, don't have much room to go....sounds like a trunk mount system is in my future.

He's installing on an S55. The E55 is really tight and there's not much room under the hood, but the S55 is more roomy and a decent under hood tank might fit somewhere

Welp, looks like I'll be springing for a trunk mount system. Anyone know which system will reach from the trunk to the engine bay for an S55? Looks like a lot of the guys out there are making it for the E55 and CL55.....but no S. Just want to the lines to reach!!!!

There are systems? I bought a tank from Dad's with a Rule 2000 pump on-board. Bought some Gates hose and some fittings and connected it all together. Pretty simple really, just make sure to buy enough hose.

What tank did you get from them? Only seeing that they make custom tanks. Thanks for the idea, researching this a little more.
