I have read about it and i tried. But i believe once we got the screen we couldn't find the item #183.
is it 183? Also once we got to the implizite codierung all the fields were -----(dashes) but the car was not running. i also read somewhere that it should be running once you do the codding. Is that correct?

quick test. clear all code. ECU must be error code free. Fire up the car and into dev menu.
Once i am there should i turn off EGR and Secondary Air Injection also?
EGR #0176
Secondary Air Injection #178
Post Cat 02 sensors #0182
Are those correct fields?

You'll need a Dev mode SDS unit that's unlocked.
1. Select your car
2. Go to Control Units
3. Go to Drive
4. Go to MESFI 2.8
5. Go to Development Data
6. Go to Control Unit Adaptations
7. Go to Control Unit Adaptations(Variant Coding)
8. Go to Implizite Kodierung ME281 AMG C6-Stand
For EGR scroll down to 0176 and change Diagnose ein to Diagnose aus
For Secondary Air Injection scroll down to 0178 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus
For Post Cat 02 sensors scroll down to 0182 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus

Really, it should be the same. The monitoring code is just switched off. Basically the same option Diablosport made available to earlier SRT8 models.
I had my mids installed a couple months back, and I'm loving them. Only running headers, tune and EC H/E, and there's a HUGE difference vs stock. I have a pulley laying around, but I want to get a few good passes on this setup before upping the boost.
Some of you may have already seen this, but here's a half-assed video of the difference in exhaust notes.

Mid-Length Headers
Clean install, LNDMISL!
Can I ask why you wanted to have those short flexes installed? I don't believe our cars have any flexes from the factory in that location..
Also, Is your car completely stock aside from the header installation? I'm asking simply because I ordered a set from the guys here in Toronto and they should be arriving next tuesday/wednesday so that I can install them.
In your honest opinion, do they make a decent power gain? Have you had Eurocharged tune the car for the headers? Any more gains after that?
Just a curious fellow GTA buddy.
thanks,
PMG

Flexes are to handle the stress of engine torquing itself and rotating against driveline, and the flexes relieve the stress instead of it eventually cracking the aftermarket headers.
Stock car doesn't have them because the oem logs are very short and can't put the same leverage that longer headers do (plus they are cast, and just stronger than aftermarket headers).

In my state (and others, not sure if it's a federal law that's not enforced) if you fit flex pipe on a factory exhaust that didn't include one or more, you'll fail visual inspection.
