Start up problem
Ok guys I'm alittle lost. 2006 E55. All bolt-ons with looped rail and 550injectors.
Car doesn't throw any codes at all. Just had fuel tank recall done and since then fuel pumps don't prime on key. If I dive the car daily it takes 4-5secs of cranking to fire. When it does fire it throws black smoke and smells like fuel.
If I don't drive it fir a few days the car fires on first crank no smoke.
So I installed a new MB CPS and no change.
This week I brought a fuel gauge home and installed on rail. Hadn't driven car for 4days. On turn key fuel pressure was 54psi in rail. Car fired right up. Started car and seeing 74psi. Driving I'm at 84psi.
Came home and let sit for hr and a half. Came back still seeing 74psi in rail. Car cranks 4-5 secs then starts.
Thinking I may have a problem with intake regulator??? Talked to tech yesterday who did tank recall and he says its tune related?
Any ideas?

Fuel pump relays? When I had my tank done it just cranked and no start. Iwill check paperwork but pretty sure that was it. I dont see how it could be the tune.
