Which spacer/bolt kit do I need for the CLK 16" drag setup?
Im reading lots of threads but getting some different answers. I already have (2) CLK 16" wheels and (2) new 255/50/16 Hoosier tires. Seems like I need 20mm spacers, longer bolts and drill out the bolt holes in the wheels to 14mm from 12mm. I found (2) kits online, can someone tell me if I really need to buy the more expensive H&R kit over the generic kit for half the price?

I've got a little more experience since the last time I answered this question. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have been running those same wheels and tires with the cheaper 20mm spacers, leaving the airmatic in "normal" mode without a problem, but the tires were VERY close to rubbing the fenders. Then I tried a couple runs with the suspension in Sports 2 mode and the extra 15mm drop caused some rubbing.
So last week i switched to a set of 15mm spacers and ran in Sports 2 mode with no rubbing. I was still able to use the 14x50mm lug bolts (make sure you get spherical seats, not cone-shaped).
For a weekend-only drag setup I would use the cheaper spacers. If I were leaving the spacers on permanently I would go for the bolt-on kind.
