New E55 owner
Hey guys,
I've been a long time lurker but always a fan of the AMG. Well this car popped up and I went to check it out. Long story short I bought it and am just looking to drive/enjoy and maybe make a couple small adjustments. It's running 110k miles on the car but has a fresh motor with 5k miles on it:
(New rings, main bearing, rod bearings, rod and head bolts, new oil pump, chains and guides, new head gaskets and cylinder heads were redone) After that it has 180mm pulley, long tube headers with mid pipe, dyno tuned, wavetrac 60% locking LSD)
KW V2's as well.
I wanted to get your guys take on it and see if you have any recommendations for me as I plan to just perform oil changes for the next 30k or so and drive the living **** out of it
. Let me know what you guys think, and ps, I'm really happy to be here. It's been a year since I've had a project and this is my first "bought not built" rig.
Here's my last rig for those who may be interested.

I was looking at that same car on CL. Ended up with an 05 E55 w/ 45k miles that I bought a few weeks back as well. Big fan of your old B5 S4 Avant. We've met before a few years back at Leavenworth 2011 when I had an silver e60 545i on 3 piece Rotiform BLQ's. Small world.

Congrats! And your B5 widebody avant is sweet! I would have one in my stable right now but the size is too small for serious family duty. A member of AZ is selling his modded S6 Avant w/ RS6 engine and 6SP conversion, but it's not worth $45k to me.
I'm just thankful that MB is still selling AMG wagons here in the USA. I wish Audi and BMW would follow suit...
