I believe you misread the information on that thread. Competitors are set to be in the $3-4000 range, he states that he is under $1000. Look to be at around the $7-900 mark, for a carefully crafted set. I've followed his work since the beginning and it is top notch.

Feel free to go the 3M Di-Noc route though.

I would buy a CF kit for $7-900 price range. My Birdeye wood is faded (color is light) and one piece is cracked.

I have a crack on the ash tray door, really want to jump on an oCarbon set, but maintenance items need attention first. I was thinking of just going with a temporary Piano Black paint job until the time is right.
