Anyone install those chinese upgraded radios from ebay?

Hey guys! Got a problem. I am installing one from seicane.com in my 2007 clk350 w/hk. I got the optic decoder so I could plug n play. Everything works and got lots of red light coming from the decoder but NO sound. I read somewhere the wake up wire wont kick the system on until it drops below 3vdc, which doesn't make since to me. I thought it would work like a regular amp. My oem head unit only has 7 wires...Big brown, brown pink, yellow black, small brown, blue black, Big red blue, black. Is the wake up wire even the problem? How do you get sound to come out. I got no diagram from them. Heck, I even sent them one to help. They have no clue what I am asking. And also, they give me different answers on the acc/ B+ connect on the decoder. If I hook the rca s to a small ipod amp there is sound, so I no the head unit works. Anyone know how to fix this?

If Dynavin was really made in Germany it would cost at least 2500€/unit

I just got an android head unit for W211. Others have posted their experience with them and I've only heard positive things. The unit I got even has plug and play cables for HK audio, and even the glovebox aux in works. You have to either give up using HK amplifiers (and have the head unit power the speakers), or you must add an aftermarket amp (the route I'm going). I'm going to install it very soon, and I'll post comments about the results.

Thought you did NTG 2.5 already, why the switch? Yeah ... do let us know how it goes. I have have NTG 2.5 also in my E55 but have another W211 that I am considering whether or not to upgrade to NTG 2.5 or trying one of these. NTG 2.5 is not a cheap upgrade. Do you have pics/link to the unit you have ... One thing I am not clear on is that you said it has plug and play cables for HK Audio but then you said you have to give up on using HK Amplifiers, not sure what that means. Are you saying that the stock wiring from the car plugs into this head unit (providing power/ground, antenna ...) but since there is no optical, that you need to use either the internal amp or external aftermarket amp?

Yeah I already did NTG2.5, but I'm selling all of it so I can try an android unit. Then I can run Torque on the head unit and monitor wideband sensors and datalog without any additional gauges or visible clutter. Plus I'll get google maps and Pandora directly on the head unit, and it can get online by tethering with my phone.
The android unit does not interface with any of the old HK amps or hardware. If you have HK amps then you use a long wire loom that runs to the trunk so the head unit can power the speakers (again it's all plug and play with correct harnesses).
Here's the unit I bought:

And the HK audio wiring loom:

its has a built in mic on the front of the radio, which it works great no echo or static on the other end, but it does have the option for external mic, bluetooth music streaming works perfect too, can also control with steering wheel controls

Thanks for all the information. Really hope it works out for you. I added Audison Bit one and Amps to my setup and plan to add Airport Express so I can Airplay. But I can see the desire for a more integrated solution. This is way cheaper than NTG 2.5 for sure. I wonder what the boot up times are like on these. I have a Pioneer head unit in one of our cars and it is slow to boot up, so I am wary of aftermarket solutions.
I might get one of these to put in my other car.
