Inline Fuel Filter
So how could fuel possibly get from the tank to combustion chamber with out passing through the filter? If the filter is in the tank, along the fuel rail , or at/before the rail...it still has to pass through the filter. Our flow bench for fuel injectors has shown this many times over. There is no way fuel could come out of the injector and flow into our flow tubes during testing unless it passes through the filter. Take the filter disc out of the filter and block it off...no more fuel flow.By the way regardless of what is seen in the pictures it is a return system with an Aeromotive regulator set at 65psi. The return is a number 4 line going back to the top of the tank. The regulator is a vacuumed/boosted line to the intake manifold.
Or wait.... Maybe my last statement meant I considered that option.....
