Airmatic = Problematic
Hi Guys,
I replaced my rear air bags about 8 months ago when my *** end was sagging, this condition persisted usually during the really cold winter days. I finally caved and bought some Airnotts. This fixed the *** sagging problem but several months later my car started displaying the "visit workshop" message versus the "car too low message" that persisted when the rear end sagged. I've been driving it ever since, although recently I discovered that if I add any additional weight it doesn't lift itself higher anymore even if I press the Raise button. Today I actually pulled the plastic cap from the bottom of the bumper and I did hear it kick on when I pressed the raise button, but it literally did noting. Sometimes its so low that my front tires touch my front fenders when I turn and hit a bump (probably doesn't help I have CLS55 rims)
So thats the history, my question is whether these are symptoms of a faulty/weak compressor or something that is controlling it. I do not want to spend money for nothing as I recently got married, and now have more important priorities. Any help would be appreciated.
