Can I charge aux battery in vehicle?

2005 E55 AMG. Can I charge the auxillery battery while it is still in the vehicle or do I have to remove it?

Thanks, Matt

You can charge it... remove the airbox and place leads. I don't really know why you would, it's three bolts to remove

I appreciate it. Just doing research before I do it. Came out really quick.

It's mentioned in other thread, but the car may not fully charge up the aux battery and one that's not fully charged won't last as long, something to do with the charging algorithm.

I'm saying I don't know why you wouldn't remove it since it's three bolts.

If your car can't charge the aux, something else is going on in the system
