E55 Amg Suspension replacement
So I ran into another airmatic suspension problem with 120k km on the clock. The suspension is leaking once again, and as we all know you'll have to dig deep into your wallet to fix this. Especially with no warranty like I do.
I was wondering if it was possible to replace the airmatic suspension with a more basic suspension since these problems tend to show up all over again in only a matter of time anyways?
With more basic I mean with no airmatic involved what so ever. Just like on the base model E280 CDI which I once owned. (NEVER had any problems with those and they felt just fine)
Has anyone ever done this, or is this even possible?
And if so what are the costs involved, what would I need, and are there any noticeable downsides & problems involved?
I'm thinking medium stiff suspension, that keeps you on the track at high speeds but still feels OK while daily driving.
It's a 2004 E55 Amg.
