Rear offset question.
19x9.5 with 40 offset on an E55...285/30 cutting it too close or stick with 275/30? Lowered on STAR at 10 I believe. Thanks for confirmation in advance. Getting ready to pull the trigger on some AG wheels.

In one of my previous setups, I had...
19x10 +35
285/35/19
Lowered
Michelin Pilot Super Sports
Roll your fenders well and you should be okay.
FYI - one side rubbed slightly (driver side), passenger side was fine. I think it was due to my alignment / camber.

Wow very nice... and close! My searching shows 19x8.5 35 front and 19x9.5 40 rear. Will this offset combo be optimal for the E55? Trying to avoid spacers and the more I ponder about tire size, 275's are prob just fine for me. My last project had enough "custom/modify" to last me a while so I just want to mount and smile. Thanks for the pics... much appreciated!

No problem at all bro. Glad I can help.
In response to your offset / fitment being optimal... that's mainly personal preference.
What you could do is browse the thread below so that you can see actual fitments...

Thanks yes, looked at that thread as well and it helped. I found a calculator that shows a before and after. Punching in my factory spec 18x9 39 to a 19x9.5 40 shows me a 5mm push to the fender lip...very doable. I'm thinking no spacer needed... fit and go if you will.
