Airmatic DC Air Suspension Response

Does anyone know the actual change-over time for the air suspension to go from comfort setting to say sports 2 mode? Is the change-over complete when the reading in the speedo goes out after the selected mode is displayed? TIA

It seems like it happens in about 5-7 seconds. When I switch from 'Comfort' to Sports II at a stop, I can see the car lower a few mm. For me, I normally drive the car in Sports I most of the time unless I have passengers...then I go back to Comfort.

But in Sport I and II, the ride quality is still very good.

Aloha

The 5-7 seconds makes sense as thats about when the
display reverts back.

I didn't realize that the car lowers further when
Sports I or II is selected versus comfort...thnx.

I too find myself in Sports I most of the time now...interesting that most of the quickest 1/4 mile times reported on the forum seem to be in comfort setting.

why is that interesting. drag racers always use a soft suspension. it helps the rear dig in for better traction. so makes sense to use the comfort setting for straight line acceleration times.

Does the car lowers itself in SportI or II mode?

Yes...although it's hard to tell when the car is lowering. But when you go from Sports II to Comfort, you can feel the car go back up.
