Grill Modification
Just joined today. Will be picking up my black E55 next week. I'd like to change out the "hood ornament" and put on a grill I saw on the web site that looked like the one on a S55. I believe it was on Dr. Chill's car. Thanks for the info.

I bought the Performance Products grille pictured on RaveE55's car and it looks great. I blacked out the small vertical chrome struts between the starred circle and the grill margins so the circle appears to be 'floating'.
The price was certainly right...around $240.
Quality of construction is identical to the standard grill.
Easy install--5 minutes.

The Lorinser Grille is a great choice! A little expensive at $700 but it has a great "bad ***" attitude. Esp on a black car.
My MB dealer is currently installing mine as we speak(write), before I take delivery. That way if there's a problem with the Mods, I can lay the blame on the dealers doorstep.
I'll post picts when I get the car. Hopefully this weekend

Nicholi_AMG, You could easily paint the entire grille black...star and all if you want to go that way. Me personally, I like the chrome star.
