considering a 2011 e63 amg with 53000 miles
Hi all, I'm considering a used amg with 2 years of bumper to bumper warranty for $41000. Car appears to be in great condition, silver /black interior. Any issues I should look for before purchase ? thanks

Mileage? and a 2011 is W212 so check out that forum.
For another $15k you can have a 2012 Biturbo

if you can swing it or wait a bit...jump into the bi Turbo (2012) completely different animal...full tune/mods and you are talking 850hp and close to 1000ft/lbs of torque. Although its not cheap to get the mods done.

Money is the issue. I have 2 in college now. Gonna have to wait for them to graduate before I step up to the bi-turbo. The car has 53000 miles on it and looks very clean. Thanks for the replies. Do the ROW intake boxes add any power ?

The M156 is a fine engine and even though the Biturbo is more powerful with more potential without spending a fortune, it doesn't sound as good and honestly, is 525 horsepower a small amount? It's a monster by any standard and has amazing response. There is always a Weistec supercharger option later too, which will be nicer to drive than the Biturbos because you can't match the response of a big supercharged V8.

Sounds good. I'm torn between the 11 e63 and an 11cts-v. same price, just the v has 43000 miles . Does anyone know if the ROW intakes make any power at all ?thanks

I'm in the same boat... trying to decide whether to pick up a 2011 E63 or spend the extra $$ and get the 2012 E63. I'll follow this thread for other insights.

The ROW boxes will make a difference. Getting a tune along with any mod though will help you maximize power gains.
