I made a custom heat exchanger and put it in the lower left hand area behind the driver fog light . It was a Mini cooper aluminum radiator that I welded to make a dual pass out of it. Of course I removed the fog lights so there was no air obstruction. The main cooler was also custom made and is 26" long by 8" tall and 2.5'' thick. Got everything off Ebay for 175.00. Real easy and when you open the hood you dont really see anything out of the ordinary.

hey does anyone know if there is a difference if you remove the lower mesh grill I would imagine that more can get in without it.

Lower mesh isn't going to change things. You can add some baffles to the sides of the exchanger, so the air must go through the exchanger instead of beside it

Thats what I did as well. Both exchangers are completely boxed in so the air has no choice but to go through the coolers. Works well.

I would like to see pictures as well, maybe even from the front through the grill? Anything that helps move more air through the heat exchanger would be beneficial in reducing IATs. I am very curious on how you have fabricated the baffles.
