Retro fitting E55 parkmatic on to a E63 front cover

I been reading a few tread over the year's and no one really post picture's on how to retro the parkmatic on to a e63 cover utilizing the stock parts off a e55 bumper assy. Here's a few picture i found on my old phone when i did it few year's ago.

Parts require: e55 parkmatic wirning, sensor's and factory bracket's (correction on the Pn 171-885-00-14)

E63 Front cover with the factory bracket sensor in place.

remove them using a flat panel puller or a putty knife.

Make sure to remove them and clean the surface well before using adhesive or epoxy to glue new bracket in place. (recommend to use a 600 grid sand paper just to rough it up for the epoxy)

The four sensor's that goes on the corner will need to trim half of the bracket and shape the sensor's to clear the lip of the edge (look at picture 4)

i use a bit of glue to set the position then apply the epoxy

same for the side's

Make sure you test the sensor's first before building back the bumper.

Hope this info help's.

Excellent write up.

Optionally you can drill the holes out to the larger size so the rubber washers then fit. Obviously you'll need to do this before having the bumper painted.

Joe, i did use the sensor spacer but didn't want to enlarge the hole it would of look uneven compare to the center so i just end up sanding off the sensor's a little. But that can be a alternative way.
