Eurocharged 77mm Fixed Supercharger Pulley + Mail order Tune Review (FSP
#26
larger injectors are easy enough to scale. The TB I think is still the issues because it take two adjustments one from the Star System and one from the ECU tuner. I wonder if there are any clear instructions on how to use the Star System with a step by step.
#27
No I believe its definitely the larger TB
The richer the part throttle maps (overall) the less problems you will have with the larger TBs IMO. I had at least 12 plus maps between 2 vendors for both FSP and clutched pulleys and that was my conclusion. (Yes I ran a Wideband full time on the car with datalogging ability and gauge)

yes I wonder to. I have star maybe one of the tuners can chime in?

You don't need star for anything when you have the bigger tb. Just the tune would fix everything. Some ecu have issue when you go bigger than 80mm, look up the issues denroll and many others have, "hiccup" as they call it.

I love my FSP, I have an 80mm and constantly watching IATs is the name of the game. I daily drive my car and run the torque app 100% of the time here is what I have seen with my IATs and cooling mods.
FSP + stock HE 25-40 degrees above ambient
FSP + PLM HE 20-30 degrees above ambient
FSP + PLM HE + split cooling 15-25 degrees above ambient
FSP + stock HE 25-40 degrees above ambient
FSP + PLM HE 20-30 degrees above ambient
FSP + PLM HE + split cooling 15-25 degrees above ambient

Would you think Star per set up before Software flash would help or hurt?

Won't make a diff. For some reason still unknown some ecu do not like bigger than 80mm tb. It is tune related, some have said it has been fixed but eventually comes back

OOHH good data, I'm also constantly data logging and This is car is my DD. I have seen 14 degrees over cruising most of the time. Suck is slow moving traffic I'm seeing 34-40 over. I look forward to seeing the difference between the stock HE VS PLM in the very near future.

Yes, traffic is a killer. the worst for me was when I was still running the stock HE, stuck in traffic on the freeway and its 100 degrees outside. Never fails that was always when some little Honda would come buzzing up with its 3 foot tall wing and fart can muffler (Still would smoke them but not as bad as it should have been LOL)

Back in the day I had a quick Evo 8 with lots of mods. I got my butt handed to me by a Civic bubble back that shot fire out of exhaust at every shift. I lost to two cars ever in the EVO. The other was a E55 and that just smoked me. I think you can guess which one I bought later LOL. Now with the E55 even stock I have had no issues with any car execpt a Bently but I think that guy was nuts so I pulled it back not to die in a fireball.

I only seem to see 2 types of drivers in Bentleys, either they are doing 10mph under the speed limit or they are flat out 100% weaving in and out of traffic like they have a death wish.

You can stick a big turbo on a civic and go fast but at the end of the day your still driving a Honda

So FSP has some mileage with customers working, as long as there is patience and probably a custom tune (and time paid to tuner)
And
80mm tb or stock. Because 2mm makes the difference?
Seems like a man could be happy with
Mbh (on the shelf)
77mm FSP (cheap and easy)
Tune (expensive and difficult)
Bigger he and separate routing (maybe trunk tank)
Some meth/water spray
Done.

I am runningthe stock throttle body. Honestly I didn't find the tunning process to be that difficult, after I installed the original tune I drove it for a couple of days then reported back to Jerry what I was seeing and feeling. Took the second time he sent and have been driving in it ever since.

Any new info? Watching and waiting. Last thing parts I buy will be the pulley and heat exchanger and pieces to put a trunk tank in.

77 upper pulley (fix for more power or clutched for smooth drivablity at lower rpm and speed)
HE PLM (Cheapest bolt on)
010 Pump (Bolt on direct fit)
headers No cats (MBH if Money is no problem)
colder plugs
custom dyno tune by Eurocharged!

Can you define smooth? Clutch engagement on a properly working E55 is not smooth.
No clutch should actually be smoother, rationally.

I would agree, the 77 fixed on my car was great and I barely had to touch the gas to get going. I thought it was very smooth. Only time there was an issue was occasionally was when it would shift up and the rpms would land at 1.8k rpms it would do a small surge but I daily drive it like that for 20k miles with no issues.

My stock clutch pulley never really hit hard?
