Questions about airmatic ride height and after mkt tuning
The original owner said he had the e55 "lowered to the lowest setting no matter how fast the car is going". I guess our cars automatically lower themselves when they reach a certain speed, like on the highway...and so he had the dealer re-program to airmatic setting to always ride at this lowest setting. When it's parked for example it looks about an inch lower than stock. The "up" airmatic button still works and raises the car about an inch or so.
my question is: does this negatively affect ride quality?
question two is: when the car is in "lifted mode" does this negatively affect ride quality/shock absorption?

I've tried it at different heights, and I drive at least 100 miles a day on Maine roads. The toe-in changes with height front and rear so you have to align it to the height you choose.
I haven't had the fenders below the edge of the tires, so I can't speak for that.

I don't. Speed limit is 55
When I punch it, if it drops another 1/2" that I don't know about that's fine with me. I run with almost no toe-in so a little more at speed is a good thing.
I think the "raise it up" button cancels at 70, but I only use it on dirt roads.

It is not easy to lower Airmatic or ABC on STAR as it will not accept the settings, its hard enough to get a UK car to the USA spec at 12mm lower.
The only guaranteed way is with links.
