I've been told the 07-09 grill can be updated to the later madel grill? Has anyone done this or any advice? Or is it something you simply shouldn't do? If appropriate where is the best source and how difficult is it?

I cannot answer if it will fit, but most grills are held in with either 2 or 4 bolts along the slam panel and the bottom has built in clips that go over the top edger of the bumper. once the top screws are out, pull the top forward and you will see the clips.
