How much for an 05 Flint Grey w/ 173k?

I am getting ready to get into an E55 (finally), and want to get 05-06 flint grey. There is a local car that has 173,000 miles and requires some radiator work. Apparently the car has been maintained regularly by Mercedes dealers, and is up to date and unmodified. But $12,000 seems really high for the mileage, let alone the radiator work.

Here is the link: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/5342886698.html

Based on the prices I have been seeing, maybe $9,500 as it sits?

wow that's way too high.. I was also looking for an e55.. and for that price u can get a 05, 06 with 90k for that price.. I seen extremely clean ones for that price... I wss actually looking at 2 high mileage e55.. one had 165k for 7k the other was a 06 with 165k for 8900 nicely equipped... the last one I was considering before I pulled the trigger on my e63.. was a 05 e55 with 119k for 10k.. fully equipped.. also had some mods done and all the common issues e55s suffer taken care of

WOW - the prices lol

People who end up getting these cars in that price range might assume- maintenance might not be much cuz they'll be in same price range as a Camry n Honda

but one trip to the dealer or Airmatic repair and soon they'd realize what a 100k car loses in value makes up in repair costs lol

Under 10k means a lot of students can look at this as their first car now-Just wow crazy and dangerous as well.

Guys if you are getting the cars at the very least- look at the paper work.

Good luck.

Personally I wouldn't buy this car with that mileage.'alot of guys here will say if it has good documented maintenance mileage doesn't matter. This car if too technical and has a crapload of systems and parts. find a one owner car with 80k for 14-16k. If you can't afford that then you defiantly can not afford to keep the car on the road for more than 7k miles. It's,an 85 thousand dollar car and u can't maintain it like a expedition or focus.

Hahaha he said 12k is expensive and expects to survive maintenance costs on a 100k AMG. Buddy, do yourself a favor don't buy an AMG. You will hate the ownership costs.

God damn that is cheap! Under 10k. Tickle me pink, that's crazy.

Edit: just looked online in Australia, cheapest is 30, most expensive is 60. Haha. Ah man.

Where are you seeing those?

I've been thinking about picking up another E55 on the cheap to cage and do some mile shootout stuff with.

Yeah. I am not even in the market, and check the major cities on the west coast every few days. Really wish there was a "search all" that was accurate. The current ones don't cut it at all...

Aren't you using searchtempest.com? Searches all craigslist in a radius you select. I use to use feedly which is an RSS reader, but their feed from craigslist broke and I never got around to using another one.

Used to use "allofcraigslist.org" but it turned into "adhuntr", and it was weird.
I'll check out searchtempest tho.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!
The prices I see for the E55's in SD/LA area are in the $16-$20 ballpark with the same miles.
How'd you get a deal like that?
