I recently helped a friend do the front e63 amg conversion on his w211. he also wanted the rear bumper trim to have flat/post-06 style sensor holes with no dip so we got a trim piece with no sensor holes and a 17mm hole saw and drilled where the sensors should be resulting in flat/flush holes. then we used front sensor brackets from a prefacelift (sanded down and adjusted) to sit the sensors in.

We mounted the front and rear sensor brackets onto the bumpers and plugged everything in. The car had been driven around for 2 weeks without the sensors connected. When we connected the sensors, there was nothing. No red lights and a beep. Just nothing, no yellow dots either.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Not sure how you configure in your car but mine you have to configure in the command menu (onscren)

 

Does car have any codes?

 

I haven't got a code reader but it's got an SRS light because we played with the seat with the battery on but that's no issues as he'll get it cleared at a local shop who can do it.

On the W211?

 

It can still have codes in Star, and they not show up using a generic OBD scanner
