E55 sparetire

I was wondering, will a C55 knockdown spare clear the calipers on an E55? don't really want to go with the getting the new spare tire well and battery relocation, I think the C55 spare should fit in the open well.

Is your battery on the side or in the middle of your well?

I can fit a fully-inflated drag radial in the wheel well which has always made me wonder why they went with a space saver spare in the first place.

good use of the MB forged superlights as drag wheels... though would be better if they were wider
