Hi there,
I am still in the woods. I send my cars VIN No. and Pelican said Bearing is 55 x 30 x 13.
I had the car stripped and the prop-shaft need a 55 x 32 x 13,
I am now desperate. Please man send me the part number of the bearing the sold you as it should be on your invoice.

My friend/mechanic however told me that the propeller (Drive) shaft is fully aluminium which may be off importance.

So I never really did get to the bottom of it.

If you look at the wis documents above it clearly shows there are two different bearings.

I think its just a case of finding a parts guy who's willing to dig deeper into wis and all that guff or send them a copy of that one above and get them to search for that bearing off that document.

I ended up ringing about 4 separate MB dealers before I got someone who seemed willing to go the extra mile.

Please read my last post carefully. I dont know what else to tell you. The correct (32mm) bearing that I received in the end HAD THE SAME PART NUMBER on the box as the 30mm bearing. All I can take from that is MB are a bunch of plonkers.

You need to ring around different MB dealerships until you find a parts guy that knows his **** then use the document posted by another member on the last page to trace the correct bearing for you.

The reciepts and all that are long gone but they aint going to tell you anything I havent already told you.

From member: 0-55 on first page:
"Ask your contact to look up the details of the 32mm bearing via AR41.10-P-0100-05DA"

So as I said you need to find a parts guy thats willing to dig deep using the above numbers in wis to locate this bearing. My bearing ended up coming from Singapore. This might require ringing MB dealerships outside your area.

Maybe someone else on here can help this guy locate a MB parts guy that knows his ****. Im NOT in the USA so cant be of much help on this.

I know how you feel bro and I feel sorry for you as this just about drove me nuts trying to sort this out.

The 32mm inner diameter bearing with a 55mm outer diameter may have been a special order manufacture. This was the case for the ball bearings in the rear of the E55 superchargers; a number of us had to chip in and the manufacturer fabricated another batch with a 4 or 5-month lead time. The second batch is still in manufacture IIRC (haven't seen any updates on that thread in awhile).

Both NTN and Nachi produce 30mm and 32 mm I.D. deep groove ball bearings but they come in standard sizes and configurations.
In the 13mm width:
30mm I.D bearing has 55mm O.D.
32mm I.D bearing has 58mm O.D.
Nachi does have a 32mm I.D bearing with a 52mm O.D. and 13mm width which could be placed into a sleeve that mounts into the bearing carrier.

Options in no particular order:
-sleeve a 52mm O.D. bearing to fit in the hanger.
-modify the hanger to accept a 58mm O.D bearing.
-custom driveshaft.
-taking the time to cultivate goodwill with a bearing distributor.
-having the parts counter guy take a caliper and physically measure any bearings he has in stock.

And before you ask, I don't have the part number for the 32 x 52 x 13. It looks like a /32 bore number, width series 3, dimension series 29. This is where you need to talk with a bearing distributor.

^^ Birdwell that seems to make some sense as all the bearing suppliers I rang in this country could not supply this bearing. Which does make you think it likely is a special bearing that isnt something bearing suppliers can get out of a catalogue.

Still find that hard to believe for a bloody hanger bearing though.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Just so others do not get caught up in this, the correct bearing # for the E55 AMG W211 is 6006-32. Not 6006, must place the 32 after it. The bearing is 55mm x 32mm x 13mm. The standard 6006 is 30mm ID.

Austinger...I SOOOO feel your pain. Even though I had the luxury of this thread I still basically went through all of the same problems. I have FINALLY gotten it done but this is absolutely RIDICULOUS. You said it best with the start of your post..."Ahh this is pissing me off no end."

Thanks to everyone along the way for trying to help with this. Most input was helpful in trying to locate the correct bearing. I had originally ordered the center support bearing, part # 0089814325, because, according to all info, it was supposedly compatible with my car. By the way, I have an 05 E55. I also ordered the 2 flex discs for the front and back of the driveshaft. When I received the parts I had the same problem as everyone else on this thread. The bearing I received was 30mm instead of 32. The correct dimensions of the bearing I needed are 32x55x13mm. The 30mm inside diameter (ID) being the incorrect measurement when I needed 32mm. I called literally every car parts vendor in my area I could think of, and then some…even some bearing specific vendors. I even called ***, supposedly the manufacturer of the OEM bearing, who said they couldn’t find a bearing with the specs I needed in their system.

So I finally found Joe Walsh at fcpeuro.com. You can reach him at support@fcpeuro.zendesk.com. (Promise I have absolutely no affiliation with them). I told him my situation and he took the time to actually go measure the bearing in question before I ordered it. He said it had the correct measurements so I placed the order, $45 shipped for the genuine OEM Mercedes bearing, and I kept my fingers crossed. Low and behold I received the bearing and all is good in the AMG World. My beloved AMG was up on jack stands for over a week and I was going through some withdrawal pangs…LOL. I’m sure you ALL know what I mean…

Here is a link to the part I ordered from FCP: Mercedes Drive Shaft Center Support Bearing - Genuine Mercedes 0089815125. As others have stated the part # should be 0089815125 but it comes in 30mm & 32mm varieties. So my best suggestion is to get in touch with the right person and ask them to actually measure it for you with a micrometer before ordering.

I believe Joe told me this was the last one they had in stock when I ordered it so I have a second option just in case. I also spoke to someone named Teresia Sanders, at a company named Kaman, www.Kaman.com. PM me if you need her email address. They have a bearing made by SKF with the correct measurements of 32x55x13. The part # is SKF 6006/32-2RS1/VB005. Got a quote from her for $44 but wasn’t sure about the brand. Did a quick Google search and it appears they are made in Sweden so I was going to order it here if FCP didn’t come through.

Once again, thanks to everyone who went through this problem before me and took the time to post about it. By the way, the flex discs and bearing have resolved my vibration issues. I was experiencing a very annoying vibration. On acceleration the car seemed to vibrate just before shifting. It also vibrated quite a bit around 70MPH and other speeds, but especially around 70. Weird thing is it wasn’t a constant vibration. I described it at constantly sporadic. It would vibrate for about 2 seconds and then nothing for 2 seconds, then repeat over and over if I stayed steady at 70-72MPH. SOOOO happy that these parts fixed my problem…even if I had to be without it for over a week.

Hopefully this will help someone experiencing problems to find the correct bearing. If it helps just one person I will be satisfied. Good luck and thanks to Mercedes for an INCREDIBLE automobile.
