Strange whining sound even after car killed
New to mercedes, Just got a 2004 e55 - Last week, on a cold day I heard a crazy whining sound. It continued when I killed the car. Here is a video of the sound.
Shortly after, I have a check engine light.
What is this noise? Could the check engine be related?

Is it possible it was just the relay?

yeah because everyone just replaces the pump when it dies and not the relay when in fact the relay is the real problem here because it sticks on and runs the pump constantly till it shorts the pump and pops the fuse.
try a fuse and relay and cross your fingers but im guessing its out again.

Well, I am ordering a star kit anyway. And I had the CEL when i bought it, found a place that helped me to pass emissions, Im sure I could go there again. After pump was replaced CEL went off, after this issue, its on again.
I may just disable it. Is changing that pump fairly easy? If I get the car up on ramps Im guessing I could figure it out.
