Mercedes Benz Hood Emblem Flex Spring?
Hi on the E55 hood emblems are they suppose to be able to flex forwards and backwards quite a bit? when i flex it forwards it flexes back to an original position.... but I can also flex it backwards all the way as well and then it wont flex back to the original position,
1) Was wondering is it suppose to be situated flexed all the way backwards or is it suppose to situated where there is some flex both forwards and backwards?
2) Is the original hood emblem for the E55 suppose to have the mercedes benz wording on the blue colored "reef" design base? or is it suppose to be an all silver base with no mercedes benz lettering?

My hood emblem will stay in any of the 3 positions. Front middle back. It almost click. Some have a fixed hood emblem that's attached to the hood almost sits flat.

Yours is OEM. It won't "spring" back to position. It's supposed to flex so it doesn't snap off. It's very easy to remove and clean. There maybe grime in yours preventing it from going back to the original position.
