Tire blow out- so what tire Pressure on 19 inch Pilot A/S 3 on SL65 wheels??
hey all i had a tire explode when driving on the highway a few months ago and I feel it may have been due to the tire pressure in my tires...had the tires to 40PSI but not sure if thats optimal
I upgraded the wheels on my E55 to the SL65 AMG wheels which need 19 inch tires rather than the standard 18 inch tires so I am not sure what tire pressure I should have for all 4 tires? I got the 19 inch Pilot A/S 3 tires: Rears are 275/30/19 and fronts are 245/35/19
I do get some tire squealing and I had a tire blow out on the highway few months ago so thats what had me think about this. Any opinions appreciated.

Different tire sizes do not require different tire pressures. Run the pressures shown on the factory sticker inside the fuel door. I run the "100mph+" pressures.
As to the blow-out, I'm going to guess you are lowered. If so, the inside of your tire most likely wore out due to either camber wear, toe wear or both. Another possibility is that your tire pressure got low and heated the sidewall. Yet another possibility is your sidewall had a bruise that popped.
