That's what I have been thinking since he first posted. Mine sounded like that when I first turned it after install. Todd I would pull it off and inspect it.

Internal bearings might be going? Have you changed your sc oil yet?

Take the belt off then spin it. Another words tape the clutch to the magnet housing and spin them both. I bet the noise is gone.

I'll put a dollar to a donut that its ridges on the face of the outer clutch surface rubbing in the grooves of the resin where the magnet windings are.

If so you need to file those down and remeasure and set your clutch clearance with a feeler gauge.

Likely those aftermarket pulleys steel is softer and wearing faster than the stock pieces..... Just a guess.

that's a good idea.. I know when the old bearing went out it started making a scraping noise because as the bearings wore down the fluid leaked out slowly (more of a powdery/oily film) and it caused the bearing to be not perfectly 'true' in regards to placement - ever so slighly rubbing against the plate - new bearing and noise went away...

When your bearing looks like below, change it. I'm at 90k on my car and if you consider the original SC bearing, I am on bearing number 4.

Is that a smaller pulley? I just went back to stock pulley with 70K miles on it, and it's quieter than the aftermarket pulley with 10K miles on.

Nope, stock pulley, however, the 178 counter pulley could be the reason for all of the SC pulley failures. That or maybe my penchant for mashing down the throttle.

That bearing only does its thing when the supercharger is not engaged, I recommend WOT everywhere for longer bearing life

yeah i'm not waiting for it to look that bad LOL

I know the bearing is weeping fluid and a slight noise... ordered a new bearing from Shardul this time - the cheaper Chinese one I got a while ago didn't last nearly as long...

I guess if you count my original bearing, this will be #4 as well @ 102k miles
