Newbie Needs help! Which pulley gets changed for more boost?
I'm upgrading my pulley to an 84mm for more boost. Looking on Ebay i found two different ones. So which one is best? 84mm in the black or silver pulley?

I was new to all this once too. All of us were. You sound VERY green. My advice is to spend some hours reading this forum and elsewhere to familiarize yourself with these cars and their capabilities before you start modifying them.

I agree with wide ride, do a bit of research on here and you'll figure it all out. Most likely you want to start with an 84mm clutched unit. As a tech my advice is before you do anything and depending on the mileage and condition of your car, make sure all the maintenance is all done, plugs, etc.. You might also want to pay close attention to the fuel pump age and the filter/ sending unit. Take your time!

If I were you, I would enjoy the car in stock form first, and bring the maintenance items up to spec.
Do you research as there are so many mods out there, and you really want to add them in a specific order.

Yeah if i had time to spend researching i would. Unfortunately i don't, hence my question to get a quick answer. I've already talked with Shardul and told him what i use my car for and he recommended the 84mm pulley upgrade and a tune and that's all i'll do. I was just unsure which pulley to get, the clutched or unclutched. Thanks.

If I had to do it over again, these pulleys where not made then, I would go 78 mm cluched.
Why? It does not max out the injectors and it's equal to a 178. Sure the 77/180 make a few more hp around 8 your AIT go up to a level you become slower without a tank and injectors.

+1 on the headers. Just for some perspective, my last dyno with headers and stock pulleys had me at ~504whp in 50f ambient temps. Headers really wake these up. Open her up (headers), cool her down (heat exchanger, meth/killerchiller), then add boost back with a pulley/pulleys of your choice. my $.02

What nanaywa6 said... I did Eurocharged mids and a tune. No dyno stats but the car is running very good and I lost a pound of boost in the process. That's a good thing! Stock manifolds a terribly restrictive.

77mm clutched pulley for the win!!! With ecu/tcu tune

Personally and respectfully, after seeing the stock manifold restriction, I wouldn't put a 77mm on without headers. Not saying it won't work but lots of backpressure with stock exhaust system.
