Factory Sub add on/replacement

My sub has gotten blown and I was wondering if anyone knew of the easiest and best way to add some aftermarket subs in. I didn't know if there was a way to grab the signal with a crossover off the factory sub to an amp in the trunk. What I was wanting to do was maybe take out the factory sub so the sound could enter the cabin and put 2 10" subs in the trunk. I was going to just get power from the rear battery and take the signal off the factory sub and run it through HF to LP crossover to an aftermarket amp. Any thoughts or experience with this?

What i did was remove the factory sub and cut out the ski pass hole to get bass in. I tapped into the factory sub wire and ran it to a audiocontrol lc2i
