Questions.. CEL
I replaced my alternator and double idler pulley set last weekend and had a CEL pop up yesterday in my '05 E55...
Codes that came up
P0455 Confirmed
P0455 Pending
P0128 Pending
I checked my gas cap and looked under the hood to see if I could find a loose vacuum line for the P0455 codes but couldn't find anything out of place... Any idea where to look specifically?
The P0128 code is throwing me off.. My cluster gauge is holding at one line above 80* like normal and I have heat inside. Could it be related to removing one of the coolant hoses during the alternator install? And should I just go ahead and replace the thermostat even if it's a pending code? ALSO, is it a pain to replace the thermostat on a M113K engine or is it pretty accessible? I can't find a DIY and I haven't bothered to go outside and look at 1am yet..
Lastly, where is the coolant temp sensor located? I will replace that as well if I end up doing the thermostat.
