E55 AMG Knock
-water pump blew = replaced it with a new one from mb
-found sludge in oil = condensation .. just did 4 oil changes
- oil only had about 4-5 L < when drain from previous owner
-coolant is being burnt out of the exhaust = sweet smell out of the exhaust a bit of white smoke not to much>? loosing coolant ? no leaks just painted garage floor not a single drop (hg) maybe?
- after all this i hear a knock and im shocked.. engines idles smooth i know these engines are loud buddy of mine owns one beats on it... i own a r32 gtr known for there knocks this knock is ab normal only happens on load , or when idles at 2000 - 4000 rpm
engine runs smooth idles smooth
here is a video
let me know your thoughts and what i should do ... already got quoted 10-16k for a full engine rebuild honestly do not see it worth it unless im keeping the car and go all out .. cannot find a single parts car through out Canada for a new engine.

I saw a video the other day and it kinda kinda sounded like that, but louder. If it was a bearing on the rods it would be louder

It's not my money nor my car, I don't care what you do. If I were in your shoes I would gear up to pull the top end of the motor off and start inspecting.
Stop running it, it's not going to fix itself magically overnight

Rods have a very distinctive pattern, they tighten up under load, and knock the worst just as you start to let off. That point between accel and decel. I've never seen a wrist pin fail, so can't speak to that. It's rare.
My grandmother had a Toyota with a slight detonation knock. Took years and 50k miles before I figured it out. I bought all new gaskets and timing belt stuff before I took it apart, when I got it open some of the head bolts were loose and it looked like I could have just tightened them up.
It will be the cylinder with the anti-freeze residue on the plug. It's the piston that will be steam cleaned. I forget stuff.

I don't know if the head bolts are reusable, but I would replace the ones around the leak at least.
