Do you get alignment done everytime you change tires?
Hello all,
Do you guys get alignment done everytime you change tires? as in from winter to summer?
My tires have so few kilometres on them yet the inside is worn out like a ****. I'm thinking of getting alignment done but if this won't be fixed with alignment then why bother right?
They are equally worn on inside lol -so it's not like one is worn from outside and other from centre and things like that.
I wonder if they fixed this issue in the new AMGs or it's still the case.
Anyhow so how often ?
E55 AMG 2004- Continental extreme contact performance something can't recall the name.

In general, it should not be necessary to have alignment done when tires are changed. Alignment should be done when there is either a driving issue (pulling to one side, wandering from center, etc.) or when unusual tire wear is present.
In your case, if both tires are worn on the inside edge, I would suspect that toe-in is not correct. Too much toe-in (or is it toe-out?) can cause the inside edges of tires to wear more than the rest of the tread. This can happen to either front or rear tires in our cars, but most often to the front. Excess camber could also cause this, but is far less common, and you would probably be able to see that your negative camber is excessive, as the tires would not stand up straight when the car is parked. Excess camber would appear as the bottoms of the wheels being farther "out" than the tops.
Excess toe-in or -out, on the other hand, is very difficult to see - especially since it doesn't take too much mis-alignment to cause tire wear.
I would have the alignment checked this time, but in the future if there is no uneven tire wear I wouldn't re-do it unless it didn't drive right.

Sorry for the delayed post.
No, I'm not lowered. The shop owner said these cars have inside wear. Since not many shops do these cars (right), I'll be taking it at the dealership which also doesn't have alignment and gets it done through Subaru across the street. SMH
All 4 tires are worn equally but on the inside lol
So I guess I need to get it done. Even my last tires when I had to get them replaced-similar nonsense happened.
I guess with great power comes great inside wear.

Inner tire wear is normal on these cars but if it's excessive you should get it aligned correctly. Search the forum on crash bolts or rear camber bolts and you should find some good information on how to adjust camber on these cars.
