My eurocharge Experience vs yours?

So far its taken me a month and a half to get *1* file out of them. They apparently couldn't tune for my 1000cc injectors because they were too big (yet Tony somehow does it), and after logging 1 pull, and getting 1 file back (that didn't have the rear o2s coded out like I asked) I now feel like a dentist pulling teeth trying to get a simple race gas file.

So far? Disappointed. I have no idea why something so easy should take this long.

I mean, the way my injector dilemma was worded, they just have pre-made files anyways.

Anyone else have issues like this? I was being patient at first, but it took my last tuner literally 2 hours to road tune my s4 for pump gas, e85, and to actually make it pleasant to drive. This platform lacks a bit in the tuning department it seems.

Zach - I emailed you earlier after first reading this so I could further assist and help. I wanted to post here and clear up a few things that you posted that are incorrect.

1. It has not taken 1.5 months to get a 1 file out of us. You purchased the tune on 04/26/2016 and we shipped the cable the same day. It was delivered on 04/29/2016 but you had a cable already from the previous owner of the car I believe.

2. Your request file (.eui file) was emailed to a part time employee on 04/26/2016 and not to our sales@eurocharged.com email like the program states on the "Save and Submit" page of the EuroFlash program. This caused a delay because he is not at the office every day.

3. You emailed the file to sales@eurocharged.com as directed on 05/04/2016 @ 4:57PM

4. I replied at 7:03PM the same day with the tune file for 550cc injectors. So, you received a file in 2 hours...not 1.5 months.

5. You emailed on 05/25/2016 informing us that you have the race gas and asked about the 3rd gear pull for logging.

6. I replied in less than 10 minutes with the race gas file and an updated pump gas tune from a recent dyno tune I did for a customer with similar modifications. This file made another 20WHP over the previous tune so I included it at no charge.

7. I have not had a reply from you since my last email. I do see that you emailed the sales email again today with the stock file again.

As I stated in my email to you today, this particular Mercedes ECU does not have a good data logging tool like the VCDS / Vagcom for your Audi. I cannot see the AFR like your Audi tuner can via OBDII. I will need AFR data to create a tune for the larger injectors... I do not have a 1000cc file and from past experience, the tuning will not be perfect due to scaling issues. Tony is an ex-employee of mine and a long time friend. He may have spent some time on file for 1000cc injectors and got it to work better than I could guessing over email. IMO, 1000cc injectors are too big and the car will never drive like it does on the 550cc's.

Please reply to my email when you have a moment. I will resend all files now.

I am not saying it took you 1.5 months to give me just 1 file. I will say I guess 1.5 months was a little off. It has been just 1 month.

I'm saying I kept getting the run around between 3 different people. Extremely confused as to what's going on. I've done nothing but agree to but yours, and your employees wishes. As I stated in my email, when I asked for my race gas file, I had needed to pay for the reflash fee. Which I did. I was then told after a few days later my information was ripped it, and I needed to send it again. So I did. Then, the last week or so has been me emailing my stock Bin back twice.

I understand these don't have vagcom. But, I was lost at how the complexity changes just for a different type of fuel that doesn't need gigantic injectors or fuel pumps. As said before, because I felt like I was getting the run around. I didn't receive any of the files you just mentioned (the 20whp one, and the race gas one) till I made this post.

I'll review and compare, and if it's in good working order, I'll delete this. thanks jerry.

interesting,,,, I have only had a couple of box tunes and the turnaround has been great, also just bought some headers from them - got them the next day , visual quality is pretty freakin nice and looking forward to install... I will be asking for an updated tune but no hurry for me and not expecting an issue based on past experience,, for me EC has been a good experience -- best of luck

my experience (took advantage of the sale they had a couple months back and obtained a stock tune for my E55) has overall been positive. Response and comms were quick, and the tune feels peppier than the stock tune. (havent dyno'ed, just going by seat of the pants feel).
I did question the $30 shipping fee (Texas to VA) for the cable/connector, as that seemed fairly high for basic ground shipping for something so smalll. But admittedly, I should have looked into all costs before the purchase. So I take responsibility for that one. Other than that, I'd definitely use them again in the future.

I ordered a out of stock heat exchanger and they figured out how to get it to me by 7:30AM the next day...

they seemed pretty prompt to me.

My E55 80mm FSP tune from Eurocharged was a joke lol.
There was more fuel at 80% throttle than at full throttle.....

Fsp tunes are very unpredictable. I wouldn't fault him, many guys went from tuner to tuner and still haven't liked where the fsp tune is.

I needed some coding done. I emailed them my file and within 2 hours Eurocharged sent me a tune. Great customer service...thanks to Jerry and Philip!

What a cheap shot. If you've spent more than a day on the forum, you very well know that the FSP is sketchy at best and PIA to tune.

Agreed. FSP tunes vary from car to car. You can't have a plug and play FSP tune. They need serious tweaking.

I have been a customer of Eurocharged for 5 years & 2 cars. I have had nothing but great products, great customer service & care from everyone there. Jerry, Thomas & Philip are always just an email away & willing to do whatever you need or want. In fact, they go above & beyond what most other people in their business would ever do (except Shardul, he, too, goes above & beyond in his customer service & care).

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with EC. But, sometimes things just don't work out or emails get lost in the cloud, there's miscommunication & misunderstandings happen, as do expectations. We all have stories of bad customer service, products or repairs with someone. Sometimes it's no one's fault. Sometimes it's the fault of the company. Sometimes it's our fault or we ask for something that is not possible. And, sometimes, it's just bad luck.

Just remember that if EC, its owner & employees did not have good products & service, they wouldn't still be around & growing like they are.

How is that a cheap shot?
It's the truth... the guy who bought my car is a tuner and he let me know the tune I was running with the FSP, from Eurocharged... was no bueno.

That's it, that's all.

Don't get me wrong, my customer service experience from EuroCharged in Toronto has been fantastic. I'm treated like family there.

I have their V5 tune on my C63 and no regrets there.

Just a note to anyone buying an FSP for the 113k... Dyno tune it and don't run the shelf tune.

I had some good experiences and then some really annoying experiences. I'm really not interested in doing anymore business with them, put it that way.

Seems like Jerry is stepping it up a little now. Took a bit though to make him realize I beat the **** out of this car all weekend long, and I'm trying to make power. Lol.

My eurocharge experience

Ive had a handheld tune from EC for my c43 2018. When i sent my stock file turn around time was 1 day i believe and Jerry from EC was prompt with the file for my tune and i also requested him to send me a file for dp also for down the road when i install the dp. There was a slight pining on the tune file and was quickly resolved with a few back and fourth emails he was quick to resolve the issue with me, at this time and day im happy with how it turned out and its a night and day difference, i had a little axiety at first waiting for the pinging to solve because i was enjoying the difference the tune made and wanted to keep driving but flashes to stock till the problem was resolve, over Jerry who helped me out was awsome to deal with and he even sent me files on the weekend which was obviously not a business day for him which was a plus!

Old thread but I have only experienced great customer service over a few cars and different products with them. Highly recommended.
